DO YOU REQUIRE THE CAR TO BE WASHED BEFORE THE PHOTOSHOOT?
Honestly that is up to you, you are the seller. A cleaner car will photograph a lot better than a dirty one. It will show the potential buyer how well maintained and cared for your car is too.
It is recommended though to have the car washed, dried, vacuumed and possibly detailed internally.
WHERE DO YOU USUALLY PREFER TO SHOOT THE VEHICLE?
I have taken the time to scout some easily accessible locations that should produce some nice backgrounds without too much distraction.
We can meet at these locations if you wish, or we can shoot the car at your property. Or alternatively if you have a location in mind we can discuss that at the time of the booking.
WHICH SUBURBS DO YOU SERVICE?
As I am located out in the Greensborough area, I usually service the northern suburbs but I am willing to travel around 15kms from home base to meet you.
However, if the distance is too great we can always agree to meet somewhere half way.
Please advise me of your location at the time of booking to see if you fall within the 15km radius.
If you do fall outside the 15km radius, a $40 surcharge will apply.
IS THIS A PROFESSIONAL AUTOMOTIVE PHOTOSHOOT?
This is not a professional automotive photoshoot as such. This service is merely to provide the seller with the best angles to sell your vehicle confidently. But, as with all photoshoots, the utmost care and professionalism will be used for your booking and your vehicle. If you require a more professional automotive photoshoot for your vehicle, please advise me of your requirements as this will be a different cost.
WHAT IF THE BATTERY IS DEAD AND THE CAR WON'T START?
If this is the case and the car will not start due to a dead battery, the only option will be to "shoot it where it sits". I will still get you some amazing shots but you might be limited to how many are possible and need to choose a smaller shot package.
HOW WILL I RECEIVE THE FILES AFTER THE PHOTOSHOOT IS FINISHED AND HOW MUCH EDITING IS INVOLVED?
After the shoot has been completed, your images will receive some basic colour correction and cropping and then delivered to you via a dropbox upload. Unfortunately stone chips, minor dents and upholstery stains will not be removed in photoshop as it could be misleading to your potential buyers.
DO I OWN THE COPYRIGHT TO THE IMAGES AFTER THE PHOTOSHOOT?
The copyright to the images will always remain with the photographer.
You are free however to use the photos on your social media pages or share with friends and family, and to post to carsales.
But I will also be able to use the images as I please so I can share with potential clients and my social media followers on Instagram and Facebook.
Your privacy is always first priority though, so all number plates can be blurred in the final images if you wish, and you will not be tagged in any way unless I have your permission.
If you wish to buy the copyright to all of the images, this will be at an extra cost.
WHICH PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
Payment at the time of the booking is preferable - details will be provided in a reply email for options such as PayPal or Direct Deposit (payment will need to clear before the photoshoot takes place) - or if you prefer to pay by cash on the day of the photoshoot then that is also acceptable.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Usually 24 hours notice is required to cancel any bookings from the car owner.
However, as I work as a full time real estate photographer, I do have an obligation to fulfil any real estate photoshoots first that may be booked in for me 24 hours before our scheduled automotive photography shoot if booked during the week. Therefore our booking may need to be cancelled or moved to another time. But please be assured that I make every endeavour to reschedule our photoshoot to my next available timeslot which is usually on the weekends.
